"In these times of increasing cultural divisiveness, it is difficult to even broach the topic of religion and remain civilised. Rather than confronting spirituality head-on, Dutch photographer Annick Ligtermoet takes a distinctly gentler perspective in her new series Et Spiritus Sancti. Ligtermoet catalogues religious sites throughout Southern Europe and the Middle East through images of tunnels, passageways, vistas, and cliffs – essentially, landscapes of contemplation."

Ashlyn Davis wrote a wonderful essay on 'Et Spiritus Sancti'. Read the full text on the website of Gup Magazine

'Et Spiritus Sancti' is now on view at Bang Bang Gallery, Helsinki. Go here for information about sales.

The German Art Magazin published an interview with me in their latest issue. The article, titled 'Wunderbare Einsamkeit', is lovely written by Kerstin Schweighöfer. Go here to read the interview online (German only).

"In classical music, a nocturne is a composition that evokes the unique atmospheres, either positive or negative, that can come about during the night. 31 year-old Dutch photographer Annick Ligtermoet was inspired to do something similar with photography, and created her own Nocturnes, a very beautiful series of images with a special magic to them."

Fotografia Magazine interviewed me about Nocturnes. Go here to read the interview.
