About Et Spiritus Sancti
'Et Spiritus Sancti’ is a series of photographs shot in southern Europe and the Middle East. In these regions, religious sights are both a reminder of the past and part of traditions still alive. Signs of a common belief are scattered through different countries and even different eras.
The titles of the photographs are based on history, myths and religion. In 'Et Spiritus Sancti', all these themes come together. With an accent on a spiritual relation between humans and the environment, this project shows landscapes that could have been the backdrop for a pilgrimage.
